It May NOT Be Work/Life Balance That’s the Problem

There has been a huge push toward “work/life balance” as a problem or solution to many of the wellness issues we experience today.

THE PROBLEM:  While this topic has merit, it is unlikely that work/life balance is the root cause of health concerns, but rather the absence of SELF CARE.

Taking care of yourself can be done anywhere at any time just like the absence of self-care can happen at work or at home.

THE SOLUTION:  Consider a different perspective for a better you.  Instead of failed attempts at “work/life balance,” try incorporating simple habits in your life at work, home, or anywhere you are to maintain a healthy level of wellbeing.  This does not require a restructuring of your life.  It could easily be addressed by including simple strategies for self-care in your life.

TAKEAWAY:  Wellbeing is typically not found in a mathematical equation of “work/life balance,” but more so in a conscious effort to implementing small things in your day that contribute to a strong mental and physical state.

Hope this helps
